CERRCO is a powerhouse in Southern California’s electrical contracting industry. Led by Joshua Middleton and Chris Day with 35+ years of experience and over 26,000 hours of specialized training and on-the-job experience, Cerrco stands out as one of only three California contractors holding MBE, SBE, SLBE, DBE, DVBE, and SDVOSB certifications. This unique position unlocks access to lucrative large-scale and set-aside projects, especially in government and public works sector.
CERRCO is a specialty electrical contractor that provides fully integrated infrastructure solutions for commercial and public/municipal industries with a diverse, skilled, and accredited labor force. Our strategic focus on public works and government funded projects allows us to return tax dollars to the local communities and employ persons from local, disadvantaged, formerly incarcerated, and veteran communities.

Our Founders
Joshua Middleton is a U.S. Navy Veteran who began his electrical career as an Electrician’s Mate during the military’s involvement in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. His electrical field training included an 8,000-hour military apprenticeship, later complemented by another 8,000 hours through the IBEW—totaling over 16,000 hours of intensive classroom instruction with real-world, on-the-job training.
After transitioning to the civilian sector, Joshua took on leadership roles in high-end residential, public works, and government installations throughout California, working with some of Southern California’s leading electrical firms. In 2016, he launched his first venture, a certified SBE, MBE and DVBE electrical firm that quickly gained a strong industry reputation for being agile and impact driven.
In 2025, Joshua co-founded CERRCO Inc., a values-driven evolution of his original business and a reflection of his long-term vision for ingenuity and contribution in the electrical contracting space. As CEO, he remains hands-on in day-to-day operations, leading with a servitude mindset and fostering a culture grounded in courage, leadership, and integrity. Outside of his professional commitments, Joshua values time with loved ones and embraces the outdoor lifestyle California has to offer.

Christopher Day
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Chris Day brings two decades of hands-on experience and leadership to his role as Chief Operating Officer. Since beginning his construction career in 2005, Chris has cultivated deep expertise in the electrical industry—from his early days as a solar technician to managing complex, large-scale projects across diverse sectors including hospitality, transportation, public works, and retail.
As COO, Chris provides direct field supervision and oversees estimating, project management, procurement, vendor relationships, and the company’s safety program. His leadership style is rooted in transformational principles, empowering teams and driving operational excellence.
Chris is passionate about building not just infrastructure, but a company culture grounded in integrity, innovation, and growth. He co-founded the company in 2025 alongside CEO Joshua Middleton, a longtime friend and colleague since their apprenticeship days.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys road trips and exploring nature with his wife and three daughters. He’s also an avid home chef who can often be found experimenting in the kitchen, kneading doughs, or perfecting recipes at the grill.

Under the CEO's first business venture, the CEO and COO reunite to secure their first major public works contract—launching a five-year run that delivered 35 completed projects and supported a peak workforce of 33 employees.
